Continued Evolution for 2026

Following the successful introduction of the Power-to-Weight (PTW) class structure in 2025, the Scottish Modsports Championship continues with PTW for 2026. This system ensures fairer, closer racing across a wide variety of cars by balancing vehicle performance based on actual power and weight.

1. Every car must submit a certified Modsport PTW declaration
2. Vehicle weight must be declared and verified by the scrutineering team
3. Classes are assigned according to the official PTW formula

The PTW structure enhances competition and keeps racing exciting for drivers and fans alike.

The 2026 season continues with flexible formats to maximise on-track action:

Single Day Meetings

• Qualifying Session

3X Race Weekends

• Qualifying Session
• Race 1 (Day 1)
• Races 2 & 3 (Day 2)

Double Header Weekends

• Qualifying Session per Day
• 2 Races per Day

These formats give drivers plenty of track time and opportunities to score valuable championship points.
